2022–2023 Women’s Bible Study

Accepting God’s Gift of Rest and Delight

The Women’s Bible Study group will meet IN PERSON on Thursday, December 8, from 12 noon until 2pm with Rev. Sharyl Dixon leading the study of Lesson 3, Sabbath and Sunday.  You are also welcome to join the study group by telephone at 1-929-436-2866 with Meeting ID: 232 685 8410.

As we know, both Jesus and the early Jewish Christians observed the Sabbath on the seventh day of the week (Saturday).  When and how did it get moved to Sunday? The answer to that is relatively easy compared to the question of what it really means for Christians to celebrate “the Sabbath.”  Even the 16th century reformers couldn’t agree.  Martin Luther was worried about being too legalistic, whereas John Calvin felt the Sabbath should continue to be important “at some level” for Christians.

Pastor Sharyl will present a recap of each lesson on KPC’s YouTube channel, HERE.This year is going to be a great study and we are glad to have you join in as you are able.

Bring your lunch; dessert and beverage will be provided. Masks are optional. For more information, to request transportation, or TO ORDER A STUDY BOOK, please contact the church office at 609-921-8895.
