Ants in Your Pants Conversations

Some of you have asked for a space to sit with some topics and issues that are in the news and in our lives. Karl Barth, the great theologian said, Take your Bible and take your newspaper, and read both. But interpret newspapers from your Bible. He also said, Prayer without study would be empty. Study without prayer would be blind. Our faith speaks and affects how we engage the world so this summer we invite all who would like, to come to a time following worship where we will explore, discuss, and pray through some issues and topics of the day.

It’s ok to feel antsy. Often that means the Spirit is working with us and growing our understanding and hearts.

We hope you will join us for some thoughtful and real conversations. No real ants will be present.

June 24 ~ Ants in our Pants #1 ~ State of the Church

We will explore ~What does it mean to be church? What is the state of the church in society? Where are we? What happened at our national denominational meeting General Assembly June 16-23?

Is the church dying?

Join the conversation! – Sunday the 24 following worship and fellowship time.

Mark your calendars for:

July 15: #2 ~ Siblings in Faith, LBGTQ, God’s Family

August 5: #3 ~ Racism, the Church and our Place in it.
