The Women’s Bible Study group, led by Pastor Sharyl Dixon, will meet on Thursday, April 11, from noon until 2:00 PM to study Lesson 8, “God with Us as the Holy Spirit.” In the first 6 lessons, we considered God’s “I will be with you” promise in the Old Testament. In Lesson 7, God’s promise became fulfilled with the birth of Jesus. The presence of God was no longer a promise; it was a person. But as Jesus’ death became imminent, God’s promise of presence took on a new form once more – the Holy Spirit. God who was incarnate in Jesus Christ is now present as the Holy Spirit and dwells in each of us. The
Holy Spirit is not a separate presence, but rather the ongoing presence of Christ.
