Jean Volk has held the position of KPC Music Director since April 2013. Jean earned her undergraduate degree in music education at Wagner College, Staten Island, N.Y., a J.D. degree from Seton Hall Law School in Newark, and an M.B.A. Degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University. She is a professor in the Department of Accounting, Business and Legal Studies at Middlesex County College in Edison, N.J. Jean has taught at the college since 1982 and she has been a member of the Bar of the State of New Jersey since 1980.
In addition to legal work, Jean works part-time as a church organist and choir director and directs an a cappella ensemble, Saint Paul Seven. She has served area churches in various Protestant denominations including Methodist, Episcopal, Presbyterian, and Baptist traditions. A member of AGO (American Guild of Organists, she has been published in TAO (The American Organist) and has served as dean of the Middlesex Chapter. She is also a former member of Handbell Musicians of America (formerly AGEHR/American Guild of English Handbell Ringers) and Choristers Guild.
