Sharyl Dixon was born at Travis Air Force Base in California (CA). From age 3 until 11, her family was stationed in Florida, Spain, Las Vegas and finally returned to California, just over the hill from Travis AFB. There, up against the coastal hills and central valley of California, Sharyl attended school, was an active member of her church and a leader in her community.
During her college years, she spent time leading youth groups and working at a Presbyterian summer camp and began to explore her call to ministry. She received her BA from California State University at Chico in history and social science.
Over the past 20 years, Sharyl has served churches in California and Aberdeen, Scotland, the University Chapel at Princeton, Lafayette Presbyterian Church in Brooklyn, NY, and the Presbyterian Church of Deep Run in PA, where she was associate pastor. She is a graduate of Princeton Theological Seminary and she was delighted to return to the Garden State as KPC’s Pastor.
