Video overview of Women’s Bible Study by Pastor Sharyl ~ What My Grandmothers Taught Me: Learning from the Women in Matthew’s Genealogy of Jesus ~ Lesson 6, Bathsheba.

This is a video recap of Lesson 6 featuring Bathsheba. Do you think of Bathsheba as a manipulator, a temptress, a victim, or some- one who is treated as totally unimportant? Throughout the biblical narratives in 2 Samuel and 1 Kings, Bathsheba does not have a large part to play but she is a catalyst for others to act. She has the ability to influence kings and the skill to aid the transition of kingship from David to her son Solomon without the threat of destruction. The scriptures for Lesson 6 were 2 Samuel 11-12; 1 Kings 1:11-31 and 1 Kings 2:13-25.

The Women’s Bible Study meets on the 2nd Thursday of each month at 12 noon until 2 pm IN PERSON at the church. You are also welcome to join the study group by telephone at 1-929-436-2866 with Meeting ID: 232 685 8410.  Rev. Sharyl Dixon will lead the study of Lesson 7, Mary on March 10th.
